By uploading a document or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.

What we provide

AuraText checks documents you upload for AI-generated content and for plagiarism, and returns a score for each check you bought along with a downloadable report. You pay per document, per check. There is no subscription and no account.

Your order lives in your browser

Because there is no account, there are exactly two ways back to an order: the browser you placed it from, which we recognise by a cookie, and your private results link, which carries an access token in the address. Anyone with that link can view the order and its reports. Treat it like a password: do not post it or forward it to anyone you would not show the document itself.

Save your results link when it is shown to you. If you clear your browser data, the My Orders page will no longer list your orders, and that link becomes the only way back to a paid order.

An order you have not yet paid for is different: payment can only be completed in the browser it was placed from, so clearing that browser’s data before you pay means you cannot finish the order yourself. Contact us with your order reference and we will sort it out.

Price and payment

• Your total is a flat processing fee per document plus a per-word rate for each check you select. The full amount is shown before you pay. Nothing is added afterwards.
• You have 7 days from placing an order to complete payment. If we cannot verify a payment you submitted, we tell you why and you get a fresh 7 days to correct it and try again. Once the window finally runs out the order expires and you will need to place a new one.
• We begin processing once your payment has been confirmed. Where payment is confirmed manually, that step can take longer outside business hours.
• Checking the same document again is a new order and is charged again.

Getting your results

Your results stay available for 15 days from the day you place the order, measured from when you placed it, not from when you paid. If you pay near the end of the payment window, your access window is shorter by however long you took to pay. Download your reports before the link expires.

If verifying your payment or processing your documents takes us so long that little or none of that window is left, that is our problem to fix, not yours. Contact us and we will restore your access or refund you.

Limits

• Up to 5 documents per order.
• Up to 10MB and 50,000 words per document, and at least 60 words.
• DOC, DOCX, PDF, and TXT files.
• English only. Our checks are built for English text and we cannot give reliable results for other languages.

What your results mean, and what they do not

A similarity percentage and an AI-detection score are indicators, not proof. They tell you how a document compares against sources and patterns an automated system recognises. They cannot establish who wrote something, and no score we return should be treated as conclusive evidence that a person did or did not write their own work.

• Both checks can be wrong in both directions. Original writing is sometimes flagged, and edited or rewritten AI text sometimes is not.
• Short documents, heavily edited text, technical writing, and writing by people whose first language is not English are all harder to score reliably.
• A high similarity score often reflects correctly quoted and cited material, not misconduct.
• We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or accredited by any university or examination board. Our report is a tool for your own review; it is not an official verdict, and your institution is not obliged to accept it.

Use our results to check and improve your own work before you submit it. Do not use them as the sole basis for a decision about somebody else.

Your responsibilities

• You own the document you upload, or you have permission to submit it for checking.
• You will not use the service in a way that breaks your institution’s rules on academic integrity.
• You will not attempt to bypass our limits, disrupt the service, or access orders that are not yours.
• You will not resell access to the service or present our reports as your own product.

We may decline or stop an order that breaches these terms. Where no results have been delivered, we will refund it.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running continuously, but processing depends on systems outside our control and may occasionally be delayed or unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. If a technical failure on our side means you paid and did not receive results, you are entitled to a full refund. See our Refund Policy.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for delivering the checks you paid for. Where something goes wrong on our side, our responsibility is limited to refunding the amount you paid for the affected order. We are not responsible for academic, disciplinary, professional or financial consequences that follow from how you or anyone else chooses to interpret a score. That is why the section above sets out what a score can and cannot show.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and an order is governed by the terms published when you placed it.
