Privacy Policy

AuraText is an online service that checks documents for AI-generated content and plagiarism. This policy explains what we collect when you use it, why we need it, and how long we keep it. It applies to everything on this website.

What we collect

We collect as little as the service can work with:

• The document you upload. We need the text itself to check it. That is the entire purpose of the service.
• Your email address. Collected at checkout. It is how we contact you about your order: if a payment cannot be verified, or if a check fails and needs refunding.
• Your phone number (optional). Only if you choose to give it. It gives us a second way to reach you about your order. Leave it blank and nothing changes.
• One cookie. Described in its own section below.

We do not ask you to create an account, so there is no profile, no password, and no login history.

Why we need it

To deliver what you paid for. We cannot check a document we do not have. Your email address, and your phone number if you give one, are how we reach you about a problem with your order: a payment we could not verify, a check that failed, or a refund.

We do not use your details for marketing. We will not add you to a mailing list, and we do not send promotional messages.

How long we keep it

• Your document is kept only for as long as it takes to produce your results, and then permanently deleted. If a check fails, we hold the original while we work out why, so that we can retry it or refund you. Ask us to delete it at any point and we will.
• Your results link stops working 15 days after you place your order. Download your reports before then if you want to keep them.
• Your email and phone number are kept with your order record, so we can identify an order you contact us about later. You can ask us to delete them. See Your choices below.

Your documents are never used to train AI

We do not use your documents to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, ours or anyone else’s. Your work is checked, your results are produced, and that is where it ends. We do not publish your documents and we do not sell them. The checking itself is automated, and nobody reads your document unless you ask us to look at a problem with your order.

Cookies

We set one cookie, called session_id. It is a random identifier that lets your browser find the orders you placed from it, which is what makes My Orders work without an account.

• It is strictly necessary. Without it we would have to make you register.
• It is set with the flag that stops any script from reading it, and it is sent only to this site.
• It is set the first time you upload a document, lasts 15 days, and is renewed each time you upload or place an order.
• It contains no personal information, just a random string.

We set no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies. There are no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts, and no social media widgets anywhere on this site. Nobody is following you around the internet on our behalf. That is also why you have not been shown a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Keeping it safe

Your document travels to us over an encrypted connection and is stored encrypted. Access is limited to what is needed to run the service and to help you if you contact support. We never see your card number, your PIN, or your banking password. We have no way to collect them.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@auratext.net from the address you used for your order, or write to us at the address below, and quote your order reference so we can find the right record.

You can clear the session_id cookie from your browser at any time. For an order you have already paid for, that only removes it from the My Orders list; your results link still works. If you have an order you have not yet paid for, do not clear it. That cookie is the only thing that reopens the payment page, and without it you will need to contact us to finish the order.

Children

AuraText is intended for university students, researchers and professionals. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Orders you have already placed are handled under the policy that was published when you placed them.
